Ben Hutchings: Report for Debian BSP near Leuven in April 2025

On 26th and 27th April we held a Debian bug-squashing party near Leuven, Belgium. Several longstanding and new Debian contributors gathered to work through some of the highest priority bugs affecting the upcoming release of Debian 13 trixie . We were hosted by the Familia community centre in Tildonk. As this venue currently does not have an Internet connection, we brought a mobile hotspot and a local Debian mirror. In attendance were: The new contributors were variously using Arch, Fedora, and Ubuntu, and the DDs spent some some time setting them up with Debian dvelopment environments. Thijs Kinkhorst: No islands

This weekend, like past years, I'm off to the Free and Open Source Developers European Meeting in Brussel(s), joining Jeroen and Joost in our friend Geert's car. I recently leared that Belgium is the only seaside country that doesn't have an island. If that information is not worthy of a blog entry then I don't know what is. Thijs Kinkhorst: Debian Birthday next week in Breda

Next week, Debian will turn 14. The celebration of this here in Holland means nothing specifically other than a good occasion to get together and have a drink. It will traditionally take place in Breda, organised by our good friend Geertje Stappers, on Thursday the 16th. See the wiki page for this and other celebrations.
