the number of bugs reported overs years in the Debian BTS.

A few interesting things there:
- apparently the rate is now staging between 50,000 and 60,000 per year
- stats are less precise for the early years as many bugs are no more in the BTS (apparently that stops in 1999)
- I can't find the date where the Debian BTS was launched (-devel archives go back to July 1995 only)
- It bringed me the silly idea to check what are the oldest still opened bugs...next stupid blog entry, then !
Anyone feeling like doing the same for Launchpad?
And, for those who wonder, I of course did all this by hand. No fancy automated script, just my hands and some (little) hammering of the BTS.
